The Student Bar Association (SBA) is the student government body at the University
of Virginia School of Law. Members of the SBA, together with the SBA Committee Chairs
and student members, work diligently throughout the year to ensure quality programming
throughout the school, to voice student concerns to the school’s faculty and administration,
and to promote a great sense of community throughout the law school in order to
promote a positive image of Virginia Law.
The SBA is comprised of the four elected executive positions: President, Vice President,
Treasurer, and Secretary. It is also comprised of an elected representative body
of five 3L Representatives, five 2L Representatives, five 1L Representatives, two
ABA Representatives, two Honor Committee Representatives, two University Judiciary
Committee Representatives, two Student Council Representatives, one Transfer Student
Representative, and one Graduate Student Representative.
The SBA welcomes participation from all Virginia Law students. Meetings are held
every Monday at noon in room WB 114 and are open to everyone. Please feel free to
contact any executive board member or any representative with any comments and concerns
you wish to raise.
